Robotic Sushi?

Flavors of New York visted wih the team at commercial sushi robot provider AUTEC during an event celebrating the food and beverage of Japan.

MTC Kitchen and AUTEC enlisted the Michelin-rated O.D.O. Chef Team to quickly craft and serve a free 30 minute coursed Japanese meal of Namul, gimbap, roast beef, marinated tomatoes, crispy sushi, and French toast. The gimbap and crispy sushi courses were created with the help of AUTEC’s sushi robots the ASM865A (produces up to 1,300 rice sheets per hour), and the ASM260A Maki Cutter (cuts up to four hosomaki sushi rolls into six, eight, or ten pieces at once.
