Virtual FDA Food Code Course

The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) is offering its virtual Navigating the FDA Food Code: A Course for Industry Professional, from August 5-7, providing industry professionals with practical tools to interpret and apply the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s 2022 Food Code and 2024 Supplement.

This interactive, three-day live training is designed to help participants:

  • Identify the intent, design, and scope of the Food Code
  • Understand the definition and criteria of “approved” food
  • Explain requirements for water, plumbing, waste disposal, and recycling in a food establishment
  • Recognize Good Retail Practices (GRP) that support sanitary operations

The course also highlights key areas of food safety, including management responsibilities, employee health, and compliance and enforcement measures related to food, equipment, plumbing, waste, physical facilities, and more.

Participants will learn through expert-led lectures, group exercises, and guided discussion.
