Kentucky Derby’s most anticipated and beloved culinary event is back!  “Taste of Derby 2026” will return to the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) on April 30, 2026 (7-10 PM), bringing together nationally acclaimed chefs, premium food and beverage experiences, and an immersive culinary journey inspired by this year’s theme, Bridles & Bites.

Taste of Derby introduces “Bridles & Bites,” a theme channeling the sophistication of the Kentucky Derby through the lens of culinary craftsmanship. This year’s culinary experience will center on an immersive culinary journey inspired by the Road to the Kentucky Derby, including Derby traditions and elevated Southern flavors.

The 2026 Taste of Derby Chef Lineup Includes:

  • Aaron May, celebrated for bold, approachable American cooking, a Food Network favorite and successful restaurateur with multiple acclaimed concepts across the Southwest. 

  • Damaris Phillips, a champion of modern Southern cuisine, Food Network Star winner, and Kentucky native who spotlights regional flavors with warmth and creativity.

  • Marc Murphy, a globally inspired chef, longtime Food Network personality, and an acclaimed chef-restaurateur behind several successful New York City restaurants.

  • Antonia Lofaso, a celebrated chef-restaurateur bringing a bold, globally influenced culinary perspective, with acclaimed restaurants including Scopa Italian Roots and DAMA. (New for 2026)

  • Rocco DiSpirito, a leader in innovative, health-forward cuisine, James Beard Award-winning chef, and New York Times bestselling author. (New for 2026)

  • Shota Nakajima, a James Beard Award–nominated chef and acclaimed restaurateur recognized for contemporary Japanese cuisine behind Seattle’s Taku. 

  • Anthony Vitolo, an acclaimed chef known for his refined Italian cuisine and dynamic culinary leadership. (New for 2026) 

  • Robert Lopez, a celebrated culinary talent and head chef at Churchill Downs Racetrack recognized for bold flavors and innovative interpretations of contemporary cuisine. 

Beyond exceptional cuisine, Taste of Derby 2026 will feature a premium open bar and enhanced beverage activations, specialty drink experiences, live entertainment, a red carpet entry, and a dedicated Derby-inspired photo opportunity.

Ticket Options: 

  • Standard Admission ($629 per person) provides full access to the event, including chef-driven food offerings and an open bar. 

  • VIP Admission ($749 per person) includes all Standard Admission benefits, plus half-hour early entry, reserved table seating, passed light bites throughout the evening, and access to a private open bar featuring beer, wine, and cocktails. 

Taste of Derby continues to be a must-attend event for food lovers, Derby enthusiasts, and visitors looking to experience Louisville’s vibrant hospitality scene at its finest.
