Melissa Ben-Ishay, co-founder of Baked by Melissa, will be the keynote speaker at The New York State Restaurant Association (NYSRA) Women in Hospitality event at Google’s New York City office on June 4, The mom, baker, and TikTok star will lead an impactful conversation about her success in the restaurant industry and social media world.
Ben-Ishay’s bakery, Baked by Melissa, offers bite-sized cupcakes at over 12 locations throughout New York City and Long Island and ships nationwide. Founded in 2008, Baked by Melissa features handcrafted cupcakes and treats ininnovative packaging and gift boxes for all celebrations.
In 2020, Ben-Ishay carried her theme of the perfect bite over to TikTok, where her cooking content went viral – especially her Green Goddess salad. With four million followers in her pocket, Ben-Ishay’s content is inspiring people of all backgrounds to make healthy food choices and even demonstrates how quick and easy it is to recreate at home. Her latest cookbook, Come Hungry, was released in January of 2024, instantly topping the New York Times Best Seller list.
