'New Orleans Has Our Heart'

Ruby Slipper stands with the New Orleans community in the wake of the heartbreaking New Year’s Day tragedy on Bourbon Street, an event that has deeply impacted families, friends and neighbors. To honor those affected and support the city’s healing, Ruby Slipper has launched the “New Orleans Has Our Heart” campaign in partnership with the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Proceeds will benefit the New Orleans New Year’s Day Tragedy Fund, directly aiding those navigating the aftermath of this devastating event.

To amplify the community’s efforts, Ruby Slipper’s Founders Erich and Jennifer Weishaupt will match the total funds raised through their Weishaupt Family Foundation, up to $10,000.

  • When: The fundraiser will run from Thursday, January 9, through Friday, January 31, 2025.
  • How to Get Involved:Ruby Slipper invites guests to join the effort through the following contributions:
  • Big Easy Mimosa for a Cause: $1 from every Big Easy Mimosa sold will be donated to the New Orleans New Year’s Day Tragedy Fund. 
  • Round-Up Donations: Guests can round up their checks at the end of their meal to contribute directly to the fund. Round-up donations are tax-deductible.

Scan to Donate: Guests can scan QR codes displayed in restaurants to make direct donations to the fund.

Ruby Slipper invites the community to join in this effort to help those impacted. Every donation through a Big Easy Mimosa purchase or check round-up will be matched by the Weishaupt Family Foundation, up to $10,000, doubling its impact. Together, Ruby Slipper aims to support the local community and stand strong in the face of adversity to bring hope to those who need it most.
