To celebrate its 125th anniversary and the loyal customers who support the brand, Hobart is hosting an equipment giveaway. The Hobart 125th Anniversary Celebration Contest includes prize packages of equipment, along with installation and up to one year of preventive maintenance for two lucky winners: one independent restaurant owner and one independent food retail store owner.
Hobart will award the winners based on their local philanthropy and community outreach, as well as how the equipment will impact those initiatives. Contestants will provide this information for the selection process by submitting short narratives through an online entry form.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to give back to the independent owners who give so much to their local communities,” said Todd Blair, director of marketing. “Their creativity in making great food and their compassion for helping those in need is inspiring to us. We want to support them as they continue to serve their communities and do what they love most.”
The prize packages include dishwashing and food prep equipment for both winners, with the addition of weighing equipment for the independent food retail store owner. Both can make their selection of equipment based on a set retail value established by Hobart.
The initial entry period begins May 5 and ends June 30. Finalists will be selected and notified by July 31 and provided direction on completing a video submission for the Hobart selection committee to review. The video submission allows contestants to expand on their community outreach, impact and the corresponding need for new equipment to enhance their involvement. Winners will be selected, verified and announced by October 31.
