Harvest on the Harbor™ (HOTH), the annual celebration of the food and drink culture in Maine, announces its event lineup for Thursday, October 17 through Sunday, October 20, 2019. Perennial favorites including the Maine Lobster Chef of the Year, Maine Distiller’s Guild happy hour, Maine Oysterfest and the Sunday Market return, and new events include a Chef and Farm Harvest Dinner and Waffle and Champagne Brunch. All events will be held at Brick South at Thompson’s Point in Portland. Tickets for Harvest on the Harbor are now available online at harvestontheharbor.com, all events are 21+.

Chef and Farm Harvest Dinner
Thursday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m.
HOTH’s opening night celebration will benefit Full Plates Full Potential, with a goal of ending childhood hunger in Maine. Chefs from Back Bay Grill, David’s Restaurant, EVO, Five Fifty-Five and Sur Lie are paired with Maine farmers for produce, seafood and meats. The night kicks off with drinks and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a three-course meal served family-style. After dinner, guests get to choose from a decadent dessert buffet. All-inclusive tickets are $135 pp and a limited number are available. Live music and more details to be announced.
The Maine Lobster Chef of the Year
Friday, October 18 at 11 a.m.
The annual Maine Lobster Chef of the Year luncheon features ten Maine chefs competing for People’s Choice and professionally judged top honors. The 2019 competitors are:

The $95 ticket includes a ten-course lobster luncheon, beer and Zardetto prosecco. This event is sponsored by Shucks Maine Lobster.
Straight Up with Maine Distiller’s Guild
Friday, October 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Some of the finest distillers in the world are right here in Maine — and this event is the only opportunity to find them all under one roof. Guests will pick and choose from more than thirty craft spirits including Maine-made gins, vodkas, bourbons, rums and more. Selected foods will complement the spirits and live music will accompany the experience. Tickets are $65 pp and all-inclusive.
Bloody Mary Brunch
Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. – Noon
After Friday night’s Straight Up, this Saturday morning Bloody Mary & Pig Roast brunch is the cure. A spitfire roasted pig, roasted by The Pig Kahuna, will provide roasted pork for the breakfast tacos with cilantro eggs, Cotija cheese, fresh mango salsa, and all the fixings. Brunch restaurants will pour their version of the Bloody Mary and attendees will vote for their favorite. Tickets are $55, including food and drink.
Maine Oysterfest with The Maine Oyster Company
Saturday, October 19 from 3-5:30 p.m.
Attendees will meet Maine oyster growers and taste their way along the coast of Maine. The Oysterfest with The Maine Oyster Company features twenty farmers shucking and serving their oysters. The event will have beer, booze, bubbly, and live music. General admission tickets are $65 pp and include a dozen oysters. Limited VIP tickets are $90 pp including 20 oysters, a welcome oyster shooter, and a “Boom Shuck-A-Lucka” experience from The Maine Oyster Company.
VIP Brunch at the Market
Sunday, October 20 at 10:30 a.m.
The Market VIP starts their day with a waffle and prosecco bar, curated by The Sinful Kitchen. Surrounded by the bustle of the market set up, guests will be the first to enter the market when it opens at noon. Limited tickets are $65 including brunch and admission to the Market.
HOTH Market
Sunday, October 20 from Noon – 4 p.m.
The 12th annual HOTH Market is the weekend’s grand finale and the ultimate culinary sampling experience. Featuring dozens of food and drink vendors and a curated selection of Maine-made household items such as tea towels, glassware, cutting boards and more, guests get unlimited tastings, access to cooking demos, and an incredible shopping experience. Tickets are $35 pp for all access or $25 pp for two hours, starting at 1 p.m. or 2 p.m.
Harvest on the Harbor is more than a food and drink festival, bringing Maine’s food and drink talent – including farmers, fishermen, distillers, winemakers, brewers, chefs and food producers – together to create an experience that’s unlike any other in Maine. HOTH is four days of events celebrating everything that makes Maine the premier foodie destination in the country.
