Food Loves Tech Returns to NYC

Food Loves Tech (FLT), an education-by-entertainment expo powered by Edible Manhattan and Edible Brooklyn, returns to Brooklyn. A celebration for the future of food and drink, FLT will unite consumers, food-enthusiasts and industry professionals alike. Taking place at Industry City (220 36th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11232) on November 2 and November 3, attendees will test drive food technologies and innovations from present to next gen frontiers. The expo is arranged in a series of experiential exhibits, linking immersive installations, technologies, tastings, leadership panels and dining experiences to explore food/drink technology and innovation.

Featured Chefs + Panelists

Featured chefs will showcase their talents and top culinary innovations through demos and tastings. This year’s chefs include:

  • Chef Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern, will be hosting a Gramercy Tavern pop up exclusively for Food Loves Tech

  • Chef Bill Telepan of Oceana

  • Chef Suzanne Cupps of Untitled

  •  Chef Brad Farmerie from Saxon + Parole

  •  Chef Sohui Kim of Insa Brooklyn

  • David Barber Barber, the co-owner of Blue Hill, a working farm, restaurant and consulting company that larger supports the agriculture industry and positively contributes to the world’s food system.

  •   Danielle Nierenberg, the president of Food Tank,a non-profit organization focused on building a global community for safe, healthy and nourished eaters.

Future of the Cocktail

“Future of the Cocktail” returns as the opening night celebration on Friday, November 3, sponsored byBluepoint Brewing Co. and Belvedere Vodka. The evening will showcase the skills of most creative bartenders and mixologists in New York City.

Food Loves Tech is a zero waste event. This includes food excess. Food Loves Tech’s 2018 charity partner is, ReThink. Based out of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, ReThink utilizes excess food for those in need. All food excess from Food Loves Tech will be collected by ReThink.
