Restaurant Performance IndexThe Restaurant Performance Index (RPI) from the National Restaurant Association was just released This report provides a look at the current state of the restaurant industry with data on restaurant sales and jobs, food costs, and the economy. 

Some key highlights include:

 57 percent  of restaurant operators reported higher same-store sales in June 2019 compared to a year ago. The economy added a net 224,000 jobs in June on a seasonally-adjusted basis, which followed a gain of just 72,000 jobs in May.
